PVC is the go-to board when you want a sign that looks clean and stays flat. It's stiffer than foam board, lighter than metal, and easy to hang with screws, double-sided tape or adhesive strips. Offices, clinics, salons, schools and shops use it for logo signs, room labels, policy signs and wayfinding.
Every order is printed in full color, checked by a real person before it prints, and ships free anywhere in the US.

Sizes and options

Six sizes, portrait or landscape
Our PVC signs come in 12×18, 18×24 and 24×36 in, each in a tall or wide layout. Small sizes work for doors and desks. The larger sizes read well across a lobby or down a hallway.
- 12×18 or 18×12 in: door signs, room names, policy notices
- 18×24 or 24×18 in: wall menus, hours, directory signs
- 24×36 or 36×24 in: logo walls, lobby signs, big wayfinding

Single or double-sided
Most wall signs only need one printed side. Choose double-sided when the sign hangs from a ceiling, sits in a window, or stands where people see both faces.
- Single-sided for walls, doors and frames
- Double-sided for hanging signs and windows

Tip. For an outdoor sign that stays up for months, like office hours by a door, choose aluminum instead. PVC is best indoors or for short outdoor jobs.
Where PVC signs work best
Office and lobby
Logo signs behind reception, conference room names and visitor directions.
Clinics and salons
Check-in signs, service menus, privacy notices and restroom signs.
Retail and restaurants
Wall menus, counter signs, store hours inside the door and promo signs.
Short-term outdoor
A covered patio, a sale weekend or a seasonal event where the sign comes back inside after.
Design tips for indoor signs
- Keep the main message short so people can read it while walking past.
- Use dark text on a light background, or the reverse, for strong contrast.
- Leave a margin around the edges so nothing important sits too close to the trim.
- Use a high-resolution logo. Our upload page shows the size and safe area for your sign.
- Match your room signs with the same font and colors so the whole office looks planned.

PVC vs foam board vs aluminum
All three are rigid, full-color boards in the same six sizes. Here's how to choose.
| PVC | Foam board | Aluminum | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Thickness | 1/8 in | 3/16 in | .040 in |
| Feel | Stiff, smooth plastic | Very light, softer core | Thin metal, rounded corners |
| Best place | Indoor walls and doors | Indoor events and easels | Outdoor walls and posts |
| Outdoors | Short-term | Not recommended | Yes, rust-proof |
| Typical use | Office and lobby signs | Weddings and presentations | Parking, hours, property signs |
| Shop | PVC signs | Foam board | Aluminum signs |
Want something even more rigid for a big outdoor panel? Our 3 mm aluminum composite (ACM) signs are rust-proof and very stiff. For a deeper look at each board, read sign materials compared.

PVC sign FAQ
What is a PVC sign?
It's a sign printed on a rigid sheet of PVC plastic. Ours are 1/8 in thick, smooth, flat and printed in full color.
Can PVC signs go outside?
For short-term use, yes, like a weekend event or a covered patio. For a sign that stays outside long-term, we recommend aluminum or aluminum composite.
How do I hang a PVC sign?
Most people use screws, double-sided mounting tape or adhesive strips. PVC is light enough that tape works well on smooth walls.
Is PVC better than foam board?
PVC is stiffer and holds up better to handling, so it's better for signs that stay up. Foam board is lighter and works well for one-time events and easels.
Can I order different designs in one order?
Yes. Use "Add another job" on the product page. Each design gets its own quantity, and the bulk price is based on the total.
What if something is wrong with my sign?
Tell us within 14 days of delivery and we'll reprint it free or give you store credit.
