Opening day only happens once, so you want people to notice from the street, the sidewalk and the parking lot. The best grand opening setups use a few signs that each do one job: flags for drivers, an A-frame for walkers, a banner stand at the door, and yard signs around town that point the way.

Below is a simple kit, a countdown plan, and answers to common questions.

Everything you need for opening day

Signs that get you noticed

Two tall rectangle OPEN flags outside a business by the road

Tall flags for drivers

Drivers decide fast. A tall flag that moves in the wind catches their eye before they pass you. Our rectangle flags come 8.5, 11.8 or 15 ft tall with a pole and base, single or double-sided.

  • "Grand opening", "Now open" or your logo
  • Ground stake for grass, cross base with water bag or square base for pavement
  • Keep using them after opening day as "Open" flags

A-frames and banner A-frames for walkers

Put an A-frame right on the sidewalk with your opening offer. Our plastic A-frames include the frame and prints, single or double-sided. For a bigger message, a banner A-frame uses an aluminum frame with vinyl banners, 4 ft or 8 ft wide, on one or both sides.

  • Lead with the offer: free samples, a discount, a giveaway
  • Add the dates and hours
  • Bring it inside at night and reuse it every day after

Street

Rectangle flags by the curb so drivers see you from down the road.

Sidewalk

An A-frame or banner A-frame with your opening offer.

Doorway

A retractable banner stand just inside or outside the door.

Around town

Yard signs at nearby corners pointing people your way, where allowed.

Spread the word before you open

Yard signs

Yard signs are an easy way to build buzz in the weeks before you open. Place "Coming soon" signs on your own lot and, with permission, at friendly businesses nearby. Then swap to "Now open" with arrows on opening day.

  • Corrugated plastic with optional H-stake
  • Sizes from 18 × 12 to 36 × 24 in, single or double-sided
  • Order "Coming soon" and "Now open" as separate jobs at one bulk price

Your grand opening countdown

  • 3–4 weeks out: decide your offer, dates and hours, and plan your sign spots
  • 2 weeks out: finish your artwork and check local rules for sidewalk and roadside signs
  • About 1 week out: place your order so your signs arrive with time to spare
  • A few days out: unbox, set up the banner stand and flags, and test your A-frame spot
  • Opening day: put out every sign before you open the doors
  • After: keep the flags and A-frame working as everyday "Open" signs

Tip. Order by 12pm and your signs ship the next business day. Ordering about a week ahead leaves room for shipping and setup. New customers can take 20% off their first order with code NEW20.

Grand opening sign FAQ

How far ahead should I order grand opening signs?

About a week ahead is a good plan. Orders placed by 12pm ship the next business day, and the extra time covers shipping and setup.

What signs do I need for a grand opening?

Most businesses use tall flags for drivers, an A-frame for people walking by, a banner stand at the door, and a few yard signs nearby.

Can I reuse my signs after opening day?

Yes. Design your flags and A-frame so they still work after the event, like "Now open" with your logo, and they keep earning their place.

Do you print vinyl banners?

Our banner A-frames include printed vinyl banners on an aluminum frame. For a hanging banner, see all signs and banners or request a custom quote.

Can I order several designs?

Yes. Add each design as its own job. Your bulk price is based on the total quantity, with no extra fee.

What if something is wrong?

Tell us within 14 days of delivery and we will reprint it free or give you store credit.
